Step into outer space and engage in a dangerous and challenging rescue mission in "Mass Effect 2" for the Xbox 360. Resume the role of Commander Shepard as you fight strong warriors, silent assassins, and creatures with mystical powers. Defeat your enemy in what some consider a suicide mission. If you completed the original title, you are able to upload your character. This way, you use the same customized version for the new adventures. DLC packs are available for those who want to take their character on new plot-related missions. Two years have passed since the events of Shepard's last outing. In this addition to the Mass Effect series, Shepard returns to investigate a ravished colony and fight the Reapers. There is also a newly discovered species in known space, called the Collectors. Saving the galaxy takes a lot of work, and an intense amount of action is in store for Shepard. Save the galaxy as Commander Shepard and his squad mates.Just like the first iteration, Shepard and his squad mates level up throughout the course of the game. They earn experience points to be spent on combat upgrades called Powers. Players create a customized squad mate for every combat situation. The game provides a rich variety of squad mates to create a truly diversified gameplay experience. Fight beside them and continue to rely on them, importing save data from the first Mass Effect. The game has several DLC packs, and some are included with the game after activating the Cerberus Network. There are a couple of larger expansions, however. The main expansion for this game is Lair of the Shadow Broker, which concerns squadmate Liara's backstory with the mysterious Shadow Broker. Other expansions include Overlord and Arrival, which adds several missions, broadening the overall experience with additional content.The game was developed by BioWare and Electronic Arts, the same team behind Dragon Age. “Mass Effect 2” was released in 2010 and features interactive storytelling and a range of weapons. This sequel to “Mass Effect” has gone on to become a critical success. “Mass Effect 2” for the Xbox 360 has an M rating for Mature due to its violent content.
