The ring is nice, but the garnet stone was obviously damaged and attempted to be repaired or just not cut well in the first place as the surface has numerous scratches and chips, and the facets are not right. Still, it was an excellent price with fast shipping. I just wish the stone imperfections had been mentioned. In hindsight, I can see some of them in one picture, but since it was listed as new, I just assumed they were smudges.
