For the money, the Pilot 74 SF is one of the best buys out there for a soft flex pen. I highly recommend it for drawing. It gives a grand variation of line from EF to M with little pressure, more than ample for many projects and usually just about right for me. I paired it with the much more expensive Pilot 743 FA, which is like bringing in a pinch hitter to get the flex to broad. I find myself using the 74 more, though, as it is a smaller pen and a better fit for my hand. It’s good enough.
