For longer trips, I put an extra cushion between my knee and the scooter seat. Nothing wrong with the scooter seat - I just happened to have a piece of foam, so I tried it, and liked it. Shipping was fast and the item is as described in the ad.

Sharpest turns cause some front axle friction, but easy to back off. Basket's very convenient. Not tippy, responsive brakes. Like the rental, it's a bumpy ride over flooring transitions & you push harder on carpet. I'm 5'6+, 125#, recovering from 2 Achilles repairs, only use this indoors. Highly recommend.
