Endorsed by the immensely popular Shaquille O'Neal, this officially licensed title allows up to four players to jump in on the action. The game brings together the top players from each NBA team in a heart pounding match up that lets the player fly higher than even Michael Jordan!<br><br>If television-like presentation is your kind of style, look no further. The game features the NBC Sports theme song, announcing, and actual NBC camera angles during replays, in which you'll be able to view hundreds of over-the-top dunks and animations. NBA Showtime is a two-on-two arcade-based game that takes place in 28 arenas around the league.<br><br>There are over 130 professional NBA, players in addition to hidden characters. Play with top talents like Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Kevin Garnett, Alan Iverson, Kobe Bryant, and of course, Shaq. There's also the ability to create a player and adjust his individual skills and attributes with options such as big heads, favorite court, hotspot, jersey, and even nickname. Codes galore affect gameplay as you quickly enter them in during the matchup screen -- special initials can transform your player into someone or something else.<br><br>Those who enjoyed NBA Jam will notice that the on fire and alley oop moves are back, but now in 3D. Coaching tips are included as well that will remind you of controls and provide advice, tricks, and other possibilities. Perform standard basketball moves and those that can also be found in the NBA Jam series: dribbling, passing, rebounding, shooting, jamming, turbo, hard contact, head fake, spin move, double dunk, and blocking.
