Reviews
"Overall, this is another fine addition to Osprey Publications growing line of Modelling Manuals, and although a specializes manual in itself, I feel that any modeler of any skill level will benefit from it's words and pictures, as the methods, tips, and techniques discussed will definitely help the hobbyist to make his subjects much more detailed and realistic. Definitely a good read, and very much recommended for your bookshelf." -Mark Smith, AeroScale, "Overall, this is another fine addition to Osprey Publications growing line of Modelling Manuals, and although a specializes manual in itself, I feel that any modeler of any skill level will benefit from it's words and pictures, as the methods, tips, and techniques discussed will definitely help the hobbyist to make his subjects much more detailed and realistic. Synopsis
Expert advice on how to get the most from your modelling. Each book is a complete guide to building, detailing, converting and customizing all kinds of models. Illustrated with step-by-step color photography throughout. One of the best twin-engined fighter/fighter-bombers of its size to see action in World War 2, the De Havilland Mosquito was the RAF's premier nightfighter for much of the war. Its fighting prowess in the defense of Britain and over occupied Europe; its success in photo-reconnaissance, and its service with the USAAF have made it a popular subject for modellers and model manufacturers, and a range of kits and color schemes are covered in this book., First entering service in 1941 the legendary 'all-wooden' Mosquito was one of the best twin-engined aircraft of its size to see action in World War II. The addition of radar turned the Mosquito into the RAF's premier night fighter, and it achieved great success in the defence of Britain, with some 600 raiders and 600 V1 rockets falling to its guns between 1942 and 1945. The design's superb performance, and ability to escape interception by enemy fighters also made the Mosquito the ideal choice for the RAF's photographic reconnaissance force. This wide range of roles across multiple theatres and air forces are all reflected in the variety of kits built and colour schemes shown throughout this book.
