Barbara Calderaro channels the classic jazz and pop legends and recreates America's greatest songs as her own. She is accompanied by guitarist, arranger, and vocalist Howard T. Levine; George Lyman on drums; Frank Kammerdiener on 5 string cello; and Dave Cummings on vocals. She brings to life the timeless songs of Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and other jazz legends. Barbara and the Dave Cummings band have played at many festivals, weddings, private events and night clubs during their 2 year existence. She has performed cabaret shows such as 'A tribute to Rosemary Clooney' and 'A tribute to women in Jazz. This CD is a companion to the novel, Unforgettable, by Julie Ortolon, where fictional jazz singer Riley Stone thrills audiences with her sultry voice singing sexy blues tunes and old jazz standards. On this CD, the band is joined by musicians James Hembree on trumpet and organ; and David Perkoff on flute and sax.
