I tried chemicals and heat to remove it safely but was unable too. Ultimately it peeled up a pretty large area of the cover. Luckily, I really needed it for the keys to fix my original keyboard that several had broken on so I am not un-happy with the purchase. However, I really would have liked to have seen the pen holder in the photos.
