Reviews
"I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and as an Imam, after having read your book I recommend it for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Muslim In Transit allows the reader to really appreciate all human beings knowing that we are all the same species created by the one Supreme Being." Ehsan Quayoum, Imam of Tawheed Center of Farmington Hills "Bold and beautiful writing. You have shared your life experiences in the most candid manner and have maintained a lucid style throughout. Punctuating the biographic account with Islamic teachings reflects the author's burning desire to reach out to people with a clarion call to say what Islam is and how it should be perceived and practiced. Well-written, thought-provoking and difficult to put down." Dr. Munawar Haque, Imam, American Muslim Diversity Association (AMDA) ..".long over due in explaining the practices of the Islamic religion in the way they were revealed to be practiced. The intellectually and spiritually inclined person will benefit tremendously from his deep insights." Imam Abdullah El-Amin, Imam Emeritus, Muslim Center "Inspirational. Your personal story was captivating and I felt empathy toward your life situations. I can also now narrate the basic tenets of Islam, which I knew nothing about previously." Makarand Nalgirkar, Citizen Journalist, Times of India
Synopsis
I started to write because I wanted to tell my story; the story of a Muslim who was not, the story of a soul that could have been lost, the story of understanding Islam. Through my humble writing I wish to jolt a few souls awake. I want to help uncover the insignia on a few more souls. I want to do my bit before I start on my next journey. - Qamar, A Plea For the Soul of Islam to Return The prospect of leaving this world behind doesn't terrify me, but the prospect of entering a new one does. While I believe in the mercy of my Lord and Master, I doubt if I have done enough to please Him. I started to write because I wanted to tell my story; the story of a Muslim who was not, the story of a soul that could have been lost, the story of understanding Islam. Through my humble writing I wish to jolt a few souls awake; and I want to help uncover the insignia on a few more. I want to do my bit before I start on my next journey. I am a Muslim in Transit -Qamar * Also includes a group discussion guide for book clubs who want to discuss comparative religion, spirituality and the state of the world. REVIEWS "Inspirational.
