Fight as Marcus Fenix for humanity's survival on the planet Sera in the Xbox 360 exclusive “Gears of War 3: Epic Edition.” In the final game of the trilogy, humanity finds itself in a three-way conflict. Humans are facing grave danger from the Locust and the even more terrifying Lambent. Not only that, they are also fighting among themselves. As Marcus, you are a war hero and leader of Delta Squad. The game takes place 18 months after the fall of Jacinto, the last human stronghold. The war continues against the Locust as a new threat emerges beneath the surface. The coalition disbands when Chairman Prescott mysteriously disappears and the new foe, the Lambent, rises. As the Lambent begin to invade, soldier Marcus and his team retreat and take refuge. Multiplayer modes in this game let you participate in a cooperative campaign. Multiplayer content also includes Beast and Horde modes. You also engage in competition with your friends when you play King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch. “Gears of War 3” also introduces a new competitive mode called Capture the Leader. The epic finale of this trilogy features amazing gameplay that builds upon the genre-defining style the series is known for with new playable COG characters. “Gears of War 3” supports one or two players for offline co-op play and system link. Anywhere from one to five players cjoin together for online co-op, and up to 10 players participate in online multiplayer mode. For the first time in the series, one to two players work together in Campaign mode on a split screen. Up to four players participate in Campaign mode online. The 2011 Epic Edition comes in a limited-edition package designed for the ultimate Gears of War fan. It comes with “The Art and Design of Gears of War,” a 96-page book by Tom Bissell. You can also look up to your hero while not playing the game with the collectible PVC statue of Marcus Fenix. This highly detailed statue measures 12 inches in height and has a 9-inch base. Marcus comes with personal effects like his last will and testament. Hang up the COG flag and display the Octus award box and Octus Medal. The gear-shaped service medal has an engraved live code, which you use to download the in-game extras. These include an Adam Fenix multiplayer character and the Infected Omen Weapon Pack with custom multiplayer skins. “Gears of War 3: Epic Edition” is also compatible with the Xbox One, and all modes are enjoyed on this console. You can also choose to play with others who are using “Gears of War” on an Xbox 360 or playing via backward compatibility on Xbox One. “Gears of War 3” is an incredible entry into video game and Xbox history.
