I contacted the buyer but they think I have the parts switched up and are asking me to give a full photo of the item when it’s impossible because it just cannot be put together because of the issue described above. I have researched this item on otner websites ever since and other buyers also seem to have similar issue where parts do not align!

I'll give it away or use it at my cabin. The only down side was that there were no instructions included! I am good at these sort of things but there are people who aren't.
