Gazing at the lagoon in the background, I’m swept up by the energy of its vibrant blues. Adolphe Sylvain must have felt that same magic. Being one of prints chosen personally by GPL to be printed in Switzerland for a private club, the historical value is, to me, greater than its monetary value. The beautiful lighting of the nude male’s chest in the center of the photo draws the eye in to his physique as he reclines his head back on a chair obscuring his face. One leg is positioned to place his middle parts in shadows. Brilliant photo
