I hand polished mine to get a few of the fine grind lines out. The spur rowels are pretty thin and might cut an animal if they received a vigorous kick. However, they are very nice if you are only using them as enactment. The price is definitely right. Don’t get me wrong, they are not junk by any means but not what I grew up wearing.
