I went on a 2 -1/2 day trip last week and used it to get out past the other guys and hooked up a smaller Yellowtail (16lbs), a couple of 15~20 lb Bonitas, and various rock fish on lures. The reel had no issues, It casted lures great, this will be my 30lb go set up, no fussing with winding line in evenly!
