New spark plug was compared to the existing and was approximately 1/8" longer at the electrode. This incorrect spark plug provided could have damaged the piston, the rod bearing and crank shaft, destroying the engine, had I not checked the length prior to installation. The SAP spark plug provided could not be cross referenced to the OEM Champion Spark Plug. Did the Seller / Supplier just find a plug that was a close fit ?
