I did note however that the open circuit voltage was 70V which was higher than the specification of the output capacitor which was rated at 50V - this could create a bursting risk for the capacitor. The unit's heatsinks ran hot. The overall electrical efficiency of the unit was around 80% which may not be uncommon.
