It had a mildew odor to it as though it had been sitting in a damp place for a long time. I bought this to go w/ new navy pants from 2025. This color navy is not even close to the current navy color they are running. If your item is older, I feel you should somehow mention that info.. Again, contact the seller before purchasing to make sure it meets your needs in the future. Best -MVW
