I considered a return, but laundered the shirt, in cool water, with unscented detergent. It still had an odor, so I hung it in my “catch all” room, to air out. After a few weeks, the smell is almost gone. It could be the slick fabric, unique for a Polo shirt. I may try re-laundering to see if the chemical smell returns. Will keep.
