The Great Civil War is a collection of three comprehensive Civil War games. Edward Grabowski's: The Blue & the Gray, Civil War General: Robert E. Lee and Civil War Generals 2: Grant, Lee and Sherman. Each of these games is for Windows 95 and is a turn-based strategy game.<br><br>Sierra Studios put together this package of Civil War fury that shows many battles, encounters and events that took place in the late 19th century. You will have a chance to play campaign modes, historic battles or compete over the Internet. The campaign modes let you pick a side and do battle from their point of view. Statistics and information sheets are shown so you are always current on what is happening with your army, recent battles and material needs. <br><br>Once you make an attack, a cut-scene will occur or you'll control the aspects of the battle directly by selecting various options such as formations, attack strategies, divisions and waypoints. Historical battles are where you can watch or participate in famous events and battles that took place during this time period and are designed to be both fun and informative.<br><br>Multi-player support is available in Civil War Generals 2: Grant, Lee and Sherman. You can go up against your friends or foes over the Internet, modem, network or via e-mail. In this mode you can really have the two sides represented properly by living, breathing commanders!<br><br>When you are ready to fight for the future of the USA and you think you can lead an army to victory, pop in the CD-ROM and start making the key decisions that will forever mark your bravery!
