It was plastic wrapped, and a good layer of buffer to prevent damage. One thing that wasn't what I wouldn't describe the item as "excellent" is when opening the disc tray, I need to hold down the front shield to actually insert a DVD but other wise product was well cleaned and came with an HDMI cable as well, all and all super happy!
