They instead chose to ignore the fact that due to their alternator being defective it caused damage to other components after failing after 5.6 miles. The alternator broke internally and metal pieces were grinding up in the unit. This caused the alternator to lock up and the jump the serpentine belt off track which shredded and cut a hole in the thermostat and 2 oil cooling lines. They should be covering the cost of replacement.
