Two tiny insubstantial staples pin the raw edge, right where the stars begin, onto the pole. I was shocked! The slightest stir of wind pulls the flag off the pole. Other handheld flags I've seen have a binding along that edge that is threaded onto the pole. No wonder are these non-returnable! So a 48-pack only cost $36, but I found BETTER-MADE U.S. flags 3 for $1.25 made in China!
