Upon plugging the controller, I was immediatly flooded with random button presses. I opened the controller and found out that the battery inside has a huge bulge, which causes the electrical pins underneath to misalign. Not a good sign. I will replace the battery, and this is to be expected of old controllers but this was not tested, for sure.
