    Cpu q9550 dropped in and was functional. Ordered 2 one for a work machine upgrade and the other for a retro gaming machine. Both chips showed heavy wear(scratches) and one was damaged on the pin side. Fortunately both were functional. Price to performance are great and well worth it if you have an older rig that could use a boost.

    I got this for my Dell Optiplex 755 which I had been running an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 with the BSEL mod to bump it from stock 2.4 GHz to 3 GHz but the Q6600 only goes up to ISA instruction set SSE3 whereas this Q9550 includes ISA instruction set SSE4.1. Although I have not done my own benchmark comparisons, it feels just as quick and snappy as the Q6600 and I'm sure it will excel at tasks that utilize the extra SSE4.1 instruction set.
