This comb is a combination of fine- and wide-spacer stainless teeth. As the wide teeth start to serarate the matting, the finer teeth will finish the job--all in one comb! Highly reccomend this comb. There is always a need for one comb with all tightly-spaced teeth, and another comb with widely-spaced teeth for grooming, but this combo comb is always a welcome addition to the groomer's toolkit.
