I was trying the SATA-IDE adapter method before, but they all failed and wasted a lot of my time. So I decided to get this simple IDE HDD instead, and boom, first try I was able to clone & boot off of it perfectly. Even though it's not a Terabyte, I think 160GB is honestly good enough for only preserving a few of my games on the system forever. (P.S. forget to set the set the master/slave switch properly!)

Price was very reasonable.It is difficult to find PATA drives of any type anymore, whether optical or hard drives, and I am a legacy PC hobbyist. This 7200 RPM hard drive arrived in good shape, has sped up my machine, and had no bad blocks on it. It does come very well packed and safe. I plugged it in today and so far it works good. I must say that the seller did a great and fast job! I posted a photo of the little box and the processor. It have some scratches for unknown reasons but it does look new. The price was fair and similar to other sellers but this guy is x10 faster than others.
