It's equipped with an AM3 socket for AMD FX, Phenom II, Athlon II, and Sempron desktop CPUs. For connection to a power supply, it uses a 24-pin port. It has a VRM power design to accommodate high thermal power specifications. This assists in keeping temperatures low during times of heavy loads on the CPU and the board.
