The reason why you typically want bushings over bearings for the steering link is because bearings are designed to do many full rotations, that's why the bearing augers out and seizes. With bushings, it designed for limited movement and will wear down the mounting post a lot slower. It's also infused with oil so it's very smooth and much tighter than a bearing in this case.
