If you're on the fence regarding getting just the batteries without the tools, get the ones with tools. The plastic prying tools won't scratch the plastic housings. I didn't even need to glue them back together though I may if the open up. If you're gentle opening them they won't need to be glued shut since it's pretty snug when prying them apart.
