It will not pick up the signal from their small arteries. After finding it didn't work, we learned from research that other types of measurement technology like "oscillometry" are required for these small animals. We asked the veterinary internal medicine office where we plan to take him if there are any consumer-priced home BP devices that will work for a cat, and they said there are none.
