    Well packaged early delivery (USA to UK) First try of the pinion drive (by hand) to check throw out mechanism resulted in the pinion section jamming at full throw and not returning. The ratcheting mechanism, other end, appears to work fine. I removed the pinion carrier (part I actually needed) and fitted it to my original 1950's mechanism with no problem. Exam of throw mechanism revealed some poor slot machining and metal burrs, poor machining causing jam? will dismantle deburr and reassemble .
