Enhance the processing performance of mobile computers with the AMD A8-3500M 1.5-GHz quad-core processor. It was designed by AMD, a provider of high-end CPUs and graphics cards for gamers. Released in 2011, the unit is part of the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) Llano series of AMD processors. The A-Series CPU is equipped with a Radeon GPU and many advanced technologies. These integrated technologies conserve power and supercharge processing while keeping components cool. With performance proven by benchmarks, the AMD A8-3500M is an optimal CPU for a notebook device. The AMD A8-3500M runs at a base frequency of 1.5 GHz. The Llano unit utilizes four cores with a K10 APU microarchitecture. Turbo Core tech allows users to overclock the processor to a rapid clock speed of 2.4 GHz. This enables even faster handling of programs that demand a lot of resources to support responsiveness. The core is designed for installation in AMD-compatible laptop motherboards equipped with Socket FS1. With a 64-bit data width, it uses a 722-pin Pin Grid Array (PGA) to communicate with the system. Localized memory for faster data retrieval and reduced delays is provided by 12 data caches. The CPU possesses eight Level 1 64KB caches and four Level 2 1MB caches. The processor is also compatible with DDR3 and DDR3L 1333-MHz memory. As demonstrated in benchmark testing, the dual-channel memory controller can work in tandem with installed RAM to provide seamless performance.Furthermore, the AMD unit comes equipped with integrated graphics. A Radeon HD 6620G graphics-processing unit (GPU) provides 400 cores running at a base frequency of 444 MHz. It is compatible with DirectX 11 on Windows 7 or other Microsoft operating systems. The Radeon 6620G GPU can give users the means to process complex graphics for intense gaming. Video entertainment can also be enjoyed with its efficient UVD3 video decoder. High-resolution displays can be cast with crispness and clarity via the integrated graphics hardware of the Radeon 6620G. A PCI-e 2.0 interface controller is also compatible with additional peripherals. This enables users to employ an external graphics card and acquire even more power for their gaming systems. With a thermal design power (TDP) of only 35W, the AMD A8-3500M doesn’t generate an excessive amount of heat. It helps to protect system components from corruption and degradation resulting from overheating. The A-Series CPU can handle a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Celsius. It operates within a voltage range of between 0.9125V and 1.4125V. This means that it doesn’t drag excessively on the power supply of the motherboard.The A-Series unit also comes with an array of technologies that enhance operations and provide security. AMD Virtualization technology supports multi-functionality, which enables a computer to run multiple workstations from a single processor. Business users and gamers alike can benefit from the multi-tasking capabilities that this technology offers. Furthermore, AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Acceleration allows the CPU and Radeon 6620G GPU to work simultaneously.
