Synopsis
For Child Development courses in Early Childhood Education that cover ages 0-8. For child development courses that cover prebirth through age eight, this widely used text discusses major developmental theories as they relate to physical, psychosocial, and cognitive domains. The book contains extensive applications for those who will teach and work with young children, making it particularly appropriate for early childhood and early elementary education programs., Optimal child development depends on educators as much as on parents and caregivers. Based on this idea, this widely used text offers prospective teachers of children from birth through age eight a knowledge base of current theory and research in the field of early growth, development, and learning. The authors couple discussion of major developmental theories as they relate to physical, psychosocial, and cognitive domains with the extensive applications information necessary to translate theory into caring practice in the daily lives of the young children their readers will teach.

CD and artwork are as listed. Beautiful music, thank you. One small detail, the case was listed as mint which it wasn't because there was a large chunk (roughly fingernail sized) broken off the hinge making the case unusable. I have extra cases so it isn't a big deal but the case wasn't "mint". Item was well packed in a cardboard box (there was no broken piece in the box and it was sealed) so it must have been broken prior to shipping. Still a pleasant transaction and quickly shipped. Thanks
