The Electro-Harmonix Super Ego Looper Guitar Effect Pedal’s 7-inch by 6-inch housing is decorated like a rock star's accessories with purple, green, black, and white accents crisscrossing the front panel. With a cursory glance at the Electro-Harmonix SuperEgo pedal, you'll know that it has many effects because of the four knobs gracing the front panel. These knobs are labeled "speed," "gliss," "dry," and "effect," which help you develop a sound that's all your own. In fact, you can choose from the latch, momentary, and auto modes by toggling the center switch with your foot.Each mode or knob offers a unique feature supplied by the SuperEgo pedal, including reverb and sustain sounds. Layer or alter the speed of your music so that it has a dream-like quality. The embedded electronics within the SuperEgo gear also allow you to carefully control the glissando or smooth movement between two separate notes. Use the auto modes within the "dry" and "effect" knobs to hold a note for almost an infinite amount of time. If you've heard musical effects from professionals that you'd like to emulate, the EHX has the loop capabilities you're looking for in one compact unit.This synth foot pedal also allows you to place an external loop on a note or freeze a chord in place. Stack sounds and create infinite loops for even more sound layers. These guitar effects include changes to inputs from other sources.On both sides of the SuperEgo synth footswitch, you'll notice four ports. "Input," "output," "send," and "return" can be used with various amp components as you enhance the tunes even further. Use this polyphonic device during a recording session or a full-blown concert. These pedals are meant to work in any application where you need decay, delay, or other features in your music.The intuitive design of this switch can auto detect new chords and individual tones as they're captured during performances. You won't find yourself altering the knobs during a performance because the only motion you'll need to make is with the footswitch. The SuperEgo is designed with some automatic, digital features that make guitars simply feel better as you play basic songs.Easy to plug in and go, this device also includes a 9-volt power supply for long-time performance play during your gigs. The black housing insulates the power electronics so that your pedal has no interruptions during a performance. Because it has a low voltage, the power supply should last for the life of the pedal.When you want to bypass the device, simply double tap the button.
