Synopsis
Making and breaking waves on artist Steve Miller's surf- and skateboards Amazonian creatures from iguanas to piranhas make their way back into their lost habitats in style. Always at the vanguard of scientific and artistic innovation Miller has integrated biomedical imaging technology-from MRIs to CT scans-to capture the natural and material world as extraordinary photographic images. As global environmental degradation continues to threaten the rainforests Miller metaphorically restores the dwindling flora and fauna of the Amazon through dynamic surfaces and vehicles. Surf/Skate a companion piece to Miller's publishing debut Radiographic documents this expansion of his original concept taking readers on a ride to the intersection of fine art and material culture., Steve Miller's photographs, created using x-ray technology, are printed onto skate- and surfboards, creating a hip confluence of lifestyle and art., Steve Miller's photographs, created using x-ray technology, are printed onto skate- and surfboards, creating a hip confluence of lifestyle and artOffers a fresh perspective on the unlimited possibilities of Miller's work as design applicationsSteve Miller made his book publishing debut in 2017 with his outside-the-box fine art photography in Radiographic: X-Ray Photo Inventions, where he high-tech x-rayed everything from pocketbooks to fish in order to produce gorgeous color images. In Surf/Skate, he has expanded the concept: his original artworks are printed onto skate- and surfboards, creating a hip confluence of lifestyle and art. The results are gorgeous moving objects, festooned in the main with art and x-rays, presenting a compelling juxtaposition of nature and the material world., Making and breaking waves on artist Steve Miller's surf- and skateboards, Amazonian creatures from iguanas to piranhas make their way back into their lost habitats in style. The seller, Suzqbooks, timely expedited and shipped my purchase order of the book, 'Last Train To Alcatraz,' to me. The order was as advertised and described. It is of good appearance, quality and value. It also was packaged carefully. The book is the autobiography of one of the last prisoners who was released from Alcatraz when the prison closed in 1964, regarding the bank robber, Leon Whitey Thompson. I give the seller the highest rating available. Thank you. Sincerely, krmhsnow@att.net

Doll arrived w/inexplicable damage to fragile celluloid face, even though sturdily packed. Seller acted with integrity, refunding in full. Price & shipping were very fair & good value. Doll was otherwise as described.

Highly recommend seller! The book was wrapped very securely in bubble wrap and even was wrapped just like a gift. I have ordered a few hundred books this year and this is one of the couple I've gotten that's wrapped like a gift, very caring on the sellers side to make sure I got some joy unwrapping it!. It also arrived quickly and just as expected! I would buy from again, and highly recommend!
