About this product

Product Information

Hop aboard a big rig and haul cargo across the U.S.A. (and parts of Canada) in Truckin' for the Intellivision. Two play modes are at your disposal, The Great Interstate Race (Game 1) and Hauling Cargo (Game 2).

In Game 1, you must visit eight selected cities in the shortest time by driving safely and taking the best highway routes. Game 2 ups the ante by making you haul payloads to selected cities within a specified time limit.

As you drive along the interstates, across the Great Plains, and through mountain ranges, you'll want to pull over from time to time to get a little rest. The more tired you are, the slower your truck will go. Unless you are at a forest or a park, catching a little shuteye will cost you $30.00. Fuel also costs money, so try to find the most direct route possible to each destination.

The maximum number of days you can be on the road is 60, with each "day" representing two minutes of game time. There are 59 possible routes and a variety of goods to haul, including milk, gravel, and cattle. You can call ahead to a city to see which loads are available there. A map will help you find your way and plan your trip.

Be careful not to collide into other trucks, which share the road with you. Honk your horn to get them to move out of your way. Also, be careful when speeding as the State Police may pull you over. Your rig travels upwards of 94 mph. If you find the highway to be a lonely place, a good buddy can join in for a little competitive split-screen action.
