Now that I have time all kids back in school I open the box and it is not new sign of use: scratches on heating flat plates residue on the outside possibly overspray from Hair products. Seller does not accept returns so I plugged it in and set it on 450. It does not get to the chosen temperature. I was still able to touch the tip, which would not be possible on any of my Hair tools on a setting of 450. It does warm up not to 450 setting.
