    About this product

    Product Information

Test your aim in the Nintendo Wii shooter "Link's Crossbow Training," featuring a compilation of various playing modes. Set in the fictional world of Hyrule, you take control of the legendary hero Link, who battles the forces of evil. In this game, you use the Wii controllers to shoot at a variety of targets to rack up points within the designated time limit. The game features 27 levels across nine different stages, based upon classic Zelda locations from the hit Nintendo title "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess." With so many different level types, there is plenty of content to occupy hours of gameplay."Link's Crossbow Training" features three different main modes. Target practice is a first-person mode in which the goal is to shoot at and destroy as many targets as possible within the limited time span. Most of the objects are stationary, but as the difficulty becomes progressively harder, they begin to move around. The Defender is a third-person, over-the-shoulder mode type. The action takes place on rails, but you do have the ability to freely move the camera. The goal in this mode is to defeat the enemies and achieve the highest score possible. The third and final mode, called Ranger mode, gives gamers free control to move around the environment using the Wii remote and the Nunchuk attachment. The goal is to find and defeat 25 enemies which are located around the stage. However, you are not just be defeating random bad guys. The game also features two epic boss battles: A face off against a powerful knight and a giant skeleton that tests your shooting abilities. At the end of each level, your points are tabulated based on how many objects you hit. Depending on how well you performed, you earn medals and unlock new stages. As the levels increase in difficulty, gamers need to hone their skills and learn the layout of the environments. It's a game that rewards careful practice.Once you are done with the single-player mode, team up with two to four friends and play the multiplayer mode for hours of additional excitement and fun. In the multiplayer mode, players take turns completing each stage one at a time. When one player finishes, they pass the controller to the next person. Stars are awarded to the person with the highest score at the end of the round. With a 2007 release date by Nintendo, this unique shooter is rated T for Teen due to mild violence. However, players of all ages can play and enjoy it. "Link's Crossbow Training" is functional and easier with the Wii zapper, a gun-shaped plastic shell that mimics a weapon. Place the Wii remote inside the zapper and it gives you the full functionality of a regular Wii controller. Aim the zapper at the Wii's sensor bar and pull the trigger to fire your weapon and see how the Wii zapper provides great immersion and control. It is also used for a variety of other shooting games.
