The case was just thrown in a box with hardly any padding. Before even opening you could tell where the case had been hit during shipping. Upon opening the case, the front cover of the typewriter had come off and gotten all scratched by the carriage return lever. The spool had come out and gotten bent. A bit more care would have avoided all this damage.
