It will read disks, but so slowly that most video games, Sony PlayStation 2 or 1 just wouldn't work. I was told that everything was fully operational in the listing's description but clearly that was a lie. The console looks fantastic, but it doesn't matter as the device is inoperable. I would ask for a refund, but unfortunately I closed the return out of confusion. I thought the disk drive was fine, until I tried to play another game
