Plus the mail department doesn't tell you where the item is in the process, just that it is in the system. Anyway, when I attached it to my TV I had the same issue as my previous DVD player but found that I had a bad HDMI cable. Once that was replaced, and I was able to set the DVD player up, I updated the firmware and it worked superbly. I'm very happy with the purchase.
