With audio/visuals similar to Sea Battle and gameplay reminiscent of Space Battle, Sub Hunt is a fine game that is more than a tad underrated. The action is slowly paced and offers plenty of strategy as players control a fleet of four submarines in an attempt to intercept and destroy six enemy naval convoys. Realism is the order of the day as the sea is viewed through a simulated periscope and a series of gauges display depth, rudder position, and current speed. A naval strategy map is used during the deployment phases of the game. "Flight of the Valkyries" plays at game's end and a nifty screen-shaking effect when depth charges explode are but two of this game's many memorable features.
