Well packaged, and I'm sure it works fine but after removing the battery from my old one that I was seeking to replace, it now works perfectly so I didn't need to order this one. Oops. Now I have a backup one! Keep that trick in mind folks, if yours becomes too sensitive and starts overreacting try taking out the battery to reorient the device. A trick I thought of a little too late.
