I purchased 3 of these guys to throw in old game consoles and run them for a little while now and am content to say they are every bit as new as they say they are, and otherwise function great. Bonus points with this exact model being the older discontinued CMR model, vs the current offering from WD coming with the inferior SMR technology to save the corporation a dollar.
