About this product

Product Information

Deep underneath the Rocky Mountains, There is a civilization that no one knows about, one that has been kept secret for many years, filled with strange creatures called Grays and human-looking creatures called Units. Jay Matthews, a fourteen-year-old home-schooled kid, discovers this world after he turns the tables on a black dog that has been following him, only to find that this dog isn't a dog at all. And the stone he wears around his neck, which is the only reminder he has of his deceased mother, isn't just a regular stone. It is a Paragon. If Jay can break free of his over-protective, controlling dad, Gene and his Aunt Vicki, get past the bullies, Brian, Jake and Thad, and get through the dangerous traps throughout the hidden underground tunnels, he might be able to uncover the secrets of the Underground and the mysterious power behind the Paragon. But first, he'll have to discover the identity of the black dog. The Black Dog is book one in Paragon - a teen adventure series about Jay Matthew's discovery of an underground world and the power of the stone he wears around his neck that connects him to it. Realized immediately after ordering that this was a Western guide, not an Eastern one as I’d intended. Requested a cancellation within seconds of ordering, but seller shipped anyway (shipping was super slow too). Requested a return, and sent a note explaining what had happened. Return was denied without any other communication. Totally unacceptable customer service. This is exactly the type of thing that will start sending me to Amazon instead of eBay.
