- 5***a (1)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseThe machine was what I expected, a 2-socket POWER9 server, with 32 CPU cores (128 SMT threads) and 256GB of RAM. It had no disks as expected, but ordinary SATA disks can be plugged into the drive bays. It has OPAL firmware, meaning it can run Linux and can use Linux KVM (kernel virtual machine) for virtualization. It arrived with one of the two redundant power supply units non-functional, for which the seller gave me a partial refund. It operates fine with just the one power supply though.
