There was very little padding on the bottom, but the rest of the box was filled with foam. The lack of bottom padding allowed a rack ear to get bent in transit, I straightened it, but I'm not rack mounting it. Otherwise, the unit looked like new. The unit powered up and works fine, but LOUD! I didn't expect silent, but this like having your head under a V8 car hood. This is a fantastic deal on a storage server.

I contacted the sell and they communicated with me to try to troubleshoot the issue. When the issue could not be resolved they said to return the item and they would give me a full refund. They payed for the shipping. Although I had an issue, I added this provider to my saved servers list. I'm confident that the issue came about during the shipping.
