This is the second one I've had. I would definitely recommend to get one before the winter kicks in. Keep a battery with you and you should be good. On the real cold days I slip a medium coat over it and you should be good to go. It ends up being more flexible than a large heavy winter coat. Just remember it's not water proof so a light or medium rain coat may be necessary to have around.
