My Amusement Park for Nintendo DS is a "tycoon"-style management sim aimed at younger gamers. Players take charge of their own amusement parks, making administrative decisions including which new rides to build. Money to purchase new park attractions can be earned by playing themed mini-games, which encourage the use of logic and creative thinking. By monitoring the advice and feedback they receive in the game, players find suggestions for improvements and additions that could make the park more successful. When trouble arises, such as a broken attraction or an unhappy guest, the player must figure out how to solve the problem. As the virtual amusement park grows in size and reputation, players gain the opportunity to build the biggest rides available in the game, including the "Super Coaster." Scholastic's My Amusement Park is designed for players ages 5 to 8 years old.
