The JVC XV-S500 is a DVD player that features progressive scan that provides a user with a clear picture on screen. Progressive scan is also designed to reduce blockiness, distortion, and flicker that is sometimes seen with non-progressive DVD systems. The JVC DVD player also has the ability to play an array of media formats including DVD-Video, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, SVCD, and MP3-CD. This device also has the ability to create an on-screen slideshow comprised of JPG images that are loaded onto a CD. The JVC DVD player uses a high-bit/high-sampling 10-bit/54 MHz video D/A converter that provides an overall enhanced picture to the viewer. The JVC XV-S500 is a DVD player that provides a variety of audio and video connection types including composite, component, and S-Video. The JVC DVD player uses a 192 kHz/24-bit audio resolution that provides the user with ideal sound quality. This device features a slimline black exterior and an on-screen display that is ideal for changing scenes within a movie. The device weighs 8 lbs total.

    Although listed as damaged the seller packaged with extreme care, at first I was worried since the outer box was a bit mangled however the item inside came exactly as pictured. Also came a day early and was shipped quickly.
